We're building front-desk check-in for the people who aren't on the rolls — photo, host approval, a printed badge and a live roster of everyone on campus by the minute.

Why we're building it
Most schools still meet visitors with a ledger at the gate — a name, a phone number, a signature nobody can read — and no clean way to know, at any given moment, exactly who is on the grounds. ScholaRise already ships inward gate-pass for the boundary; this is the front-desk half we're now designing. It's being built around one question a spreadsheet can't answer in a crisis: when the fire alarm goes, who is still inside? Photo check-in, host approval and a printed badge are the everyday flow; the live evacuation roster is the reason it matters.
-
Photo check-in
Every visitor will be captured at the desk — a quick photo against their name and purpose — so a badge carries a face, not just a number scrawled in a register.
-
Host approval
The person being visited will get the request and approve — or decline — from web or phone, so the front desk never has to guess whether a guest is expected.
-
Purpose & ID
Reason for the visit and a verified ID will be logged on the way in — a parent meeting, a vendor delivery, an interview — so the record says who came and why, not just that someone did.
-
Printed badges
A badge will print on check-in with the photo, host and a visible expiry — so staff can tell an approved guest from a stranger at a glance, anywhere on the grounds.
-
In & out timestamps
Sign-in and sign-out will be a single tap each, stamping arrival and departure — so a visit has a clean beginning and end, and nobody is left silently 'still inside'.
-
Evacuation roster
A live list of everyone currently on campus — visitors, contractors, guests still signed in — designed to be the roll call a fire warden reads from when minutes matter.
-
Watchlist & repeat flags
A returning guest will be recognised on arrival and a flagged name will be surfaced before a badge prints — so the desk gets a quiet heads-up instead of a missed one.
-
Gate-pass, joined up
Inward gate-pass already ships; this front-desk flow is designed to sit beside it — one record of who moved through the gate and who walked up to reception.
-
01 / 04
Scoped to the campus, like the rest of the platform. Each campus of a multi-campus trust will keep its own gate, its own desk and its own roster — so the people on one campus are never counted on another's evacuation list.
-
02 / 04
One record with inward gate-pass. The gate-pass that already ships logs movement at the boundary; this front-desk flow is being built to share that ledger, so a visit is one continuous record, not two half-stories.
-
03 / 04
On the same web, iOS and Android apps. The receptionist checks a guest in from the desk; a teacher approves their own visitor from a phone between classes. No separate visitor terminal to babysit.
-
04 / 04
Within reach of Sol, the AI agent. The same assistant that answers questions across the school will sit over the visitor log too — a quiet way to ask who is on campus right now, not a fourth screen to check.
Where we're headed
A school should be able to answer one question in a heartbeat — who is on campus right now?
