II The argument

It is safety-critical and money-significant. Most ERPs charge it a line.

The operator's view

Ask any principal what keeps them up at night and the school bus is on the short list — a dozen vehicles, drivers on payroll, and every single morning hundreds of children who must be picked up from the right stop and counted onto the right bus. Yet most school ERPs reduce all of that to one row in a pricing tier: "transport fee." Collect the money, print a sticker, move on — while which child boards which trip, whether the brakes were inspected, and what a route really costs lives in a register, a WhatsApp group, and the in-charge's head. ScholaRise treats transport as what it is: a fleet operations system that happens to bill, so safety and cost stop being things you find out about after the fact.

What it does

  • Routes & stops

    Multi-stop routes with buses mapped to each one, bus schedules and scheduled trips — the network laid out the way a transport in-charge actually plans it.

  • Student assignments

    Put students on routes and stops, with their travel mode and how often they ride. Kept per year so it stays right across promotions, and it flags clashes as you assign — not after.

  • Trip attendance

    Daily per-trip attendance and occupancy tracking — who actually boarded, on which trip, on which day. Not an assumption, a record.

  • Transport staff

    Drivers, conductors and helpers, with their assignments to buses and trips — the people on the bus tracked as carefully as the bus itself.

  • Transport fees

    Separate transport fee plans, worked out per student for the right year — and posted to the same fee ledger and invoices as everything else, not a spreadsheet kept on the side.

  • Fleet upkeep

    Fuel logs, maintenance logs and photo-based bus inspections — with a nudge the moment a service falls overdue, while it's still paperwork and not yet a breakdown.

  • ID cards & notices

    Transport ID cards for students who travel, and transport notifications that reach parents on the channels they already use.

  • Reports

    Fleet utilization and operational analytics — the data a bursar and a transport head need to defend the budget and tighten the route map.

How it fits
